In 2016, the Diocesan Office Team is creating and promoting a public campaign over the Advent and Christmas period on behalf of our Anglican Community. This is the first time we've done such a campaign and we're excited to get it underway. We are also keen to learn from the experience, so future campaigns will be even more effective.
The message is that of John 1:1-5, being of hope in dark times - the true hope which can only be found in Christ. The design is simple, contemporary, and abstract, with focus being drawn to the words themselves.

To participate in this campaign, simply complete this form for your church: Christmas Campaign 2016
The campaign is aimed at encouraging people through steps of increasing engagement, culminating in attending your local Christmas services:
The 'hook' is a paraphrase of verse 5:
The Light shines in the darkness and will not be overcome
An invitation ...
"This Christmas, discover the Light"
... and the full verse:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
- John 1:1-5
