SA Health and most local Councils provide a link to free food handling training which parishes or individuals can promote and use in their parish activity. There are two main online programs that are currently recommended and can be accessed via your local Council website.
DoFoodSafely is a free, non-accredited, online learning program provided by the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria and proudly supported by Queensland Health and South Australia Health.
I'm Alert Food Safety
“I’m Alert Food Safety” training will assist food handlers in developing the required skills and knowledge to ensure food is handled in a safe and hygienic manner. The program is easy to follow, includes an entertaining presentation as well as interactive quizzes. A training acknowledgement form can be printed upon completion and be kept as a part of your staff records.
